Cookies
A cookie is a small text your browser stores when you open a site. This page lists the ones hantesflorenia.ch uses. There is no advertising cookie. The language of the site is not a cookie either: French is simply the address under /fr/.
1. WHAT ARE COOKIES
Some cookies are strictly necessary. Without them, the basket, the account or the currency you chose would not hold from one page to the next. Others measure the audience. For that measurement the house uses Google Analytics.
The detail of what we do with the data sits in the privacy notice.
2. COOKIES WE USE
Necessary, so that the house can take an order and remember a choice you made.
- hf_fx. Remembers the currency you chose to display: Swiss franc, euro, US dollar or pound sterling. One year. The invoice stays in Swiss francs either way.
- Basket and checkout. WooCommerce cookies (woocommerce_items_in_cart, woocommerce_cart_hash, wp_woocommerce_session_…) keep the pieces in your basket for the session, and a short while after, so the basket can be found again.
- Sign-in. WordPress cookies (wordpress_logged_in_…, wordpress_sec_…) keep you signed in for about two days, or about fourteen if you ask to be remembered. A brief wordpress_test_cookie only checks that your browser stores cookies at all.
- hf_access. Only during a private preview. It records that a valid access code was entered, for thirty days. The code itself is not written into the cookie.
Audience measurement, with Google Analytics.
- _ga and _ga_… distinguish a browser over about two years, so a return visit can be counted without naming the person.
- _gid does the same over about twenty-four hours.
These cookies record pages, device, approximate region and language. They are not joined to your account or to your orders. Google may process them outside Switzerland.
3. MANAGING YOUR PREFERENCES
Your browser can block or delete cookies. Blocking a necessary cookie can stop the basket, the sign-in or the currency choice. The site does not offer a separate preference panel.
To refuse Google Analytics in particular, you can block its cookies in the browser, or use Google’s opt-out add-on: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
